ISLAMABAD : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s lawyer Sikandar Mehmand on Monday said that Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Gulalai participated in prime minister election against policy therefore, she should be de-seated.
A five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) heard the reference filed by Imran Khan against Ayesha Gulalai to de-seat her from NA. During the proceeding, Khan’s lawyer said that Ayesha Gulalai was not elected but was placed on a special seat by Khan.
He continued that Gulalai also attended party meeting on July 29 when Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid was nominated by PTI for PM election. Imran Khan directed every member to support Sheikh Rashid in the election but she didn’t.
